Gale frowns as the rock behind him shatters and falls, dropping him into the magma chamber. "Clever." He rises up, using his magic to fly, and bolts off after Fury.
__ Jekin looks up to see the explosion. "Damnit, let's go!" He jumps into the air and flies toward the location of the explosion, and is soon follow by Lara. |

Ayn starts at the sudden noise, then laughs. "Found angsty pants!" She stands and takes off in the direction of the rising smoke, now disregarding the ruins and the musky smell of death.

The blonde man jumps from behind the rubbel and unsheatehs his sword and swipes it across Gale's back. "It's been a while, partner."

Is about to fly up after Lara but looks back at Wessen and stops. "Damnit! You can't fly can you? Fine, just follow me!" One begins to run in the direction they're going, blasting obstructions out of their with his staff

Gale spins and blocks with Sin. "A reckless attack is foolish, Strife."
___ Jekin and Lara reach Fury and Bhaal, but do not question his idenity. "What the hell happened?" |

Leon leaps into the air and flies to the explosion hoping that is where he will find

"Gale happened. I swear, you either skimped on the part after we find him or forgot to share it with me." Fury took aim on Gale again and waited for a clear shot.

One arrives a little bit later than the rest of the group, but makes it there nonetheless. He doesn't even have to ask what happened

She climbs over a pile of rubble, glancing down. Ah, there they are.. Her eyes dart back and forth to take in the scenery around her, then she hops down a few feet away from One, her sword unsheathed.

Gale frowns upon seeing all the people who Jekin had managed to rally up. "Well well, it seems I'm up against the entire Isle of Misfits. Bloody brilliant."

He hears a thud behind him and sees Ayn land. He turns around and looks at Gale, he stands there frozen for a minute, not doing anything.

Cloud walks up behind Gale, smirking. "You're surrounded by the most powerful people on this planet, Gale. Why don't you just tell us what we want to know? Why this Megiddo?

Gale scoffs and crosses his arms. "I have no intention of telling any of you anything. None of you could comprehend what is happening."

"Apparently it's going to be your funeral if you don't tell us. Not many of us are your best friends, partner." He takes a step twoards Gale and a bone breaks under his boot. He grins and readies his sword.

A new voice spoke up, familiar only to Gale and One. "None of us eh?" On the edge of a nearby stone rooftop, Fury One sat crouched. His sword, which no one had seen him draw yet, was in its usual place at his side. Gale would certainly understand the implications of his presence. They had a less-than friendly meeting at Gale's Castle some time back. He had warned Gale about going through with any of this.

Gale sneers, obviously displeased with this situation. "While this might risk my entire plan, I cannot afford to be defeated right now. So I must end this now." Gale raises his hand over his head and creates a large orb of energy. "I'm only going to give you this one chance to run." Gale smirks in satisfaction with his current scheme.

"Hm. So be it." His sword glows, as do the orbs inside of it and a blue and silver aura covers him. He begins backing away timidly.

Ayn eyes Gale warily. She takes a sharp intake of breath, then frowns. The smell of death was significantly stronger here.. She moves forward, towards him, following the musk. It suddenly occured to her why she smelled death.
It was Gale. His aura was giving off a horrible reek of death... It couldn't be anything other than the countless creatures he's murdered.. But she'd never noticed the smell before.. She glances at the others, wondering if they could sense the death eminating from Gale. |

Gale smiles and aims the orb downward, toward the magma chamber. "Time to give Mother Nature a kind kick in the right direction, hm? Well that's actually you." He looks at Ayn. "In which case I'd just plain kick you. But enough delay, farewell" Gale fires the orb into the magma chamber, which would soon cause a violent eruption. Gale rockets skyward, escaping through the crater of the volcano.

"Oh.. ****!" Cloud's eyes grow huge. He jumps high enough to get out of the volcano and dives away before the blast comes down and runs, rolling down the steep part of the volcano, hitting many nasty things before he stands back up wearily, grabs his sword, and begins trying to get away again.

The earth under him rumbles and he nearly falls over, but quickly regains his composure. He looks over at Jekin and Lara, trying to see what they're doing. He also looks at the people that can't fly, and wonders what's the best way to get them out of there.

Lara and Jekin let out a series of curses as the begin to move back toward the passage way. Lara jumps into the air, and flies to move faster. "****! We'll never get out in time!"

One also begins to run in the direction of the passageway, hoping that the non-fliers are right behind him. "Damnit, Gale!"

Ayn's eyes widen slightly, and she whirls around, taking off in the direction which Lara is flying. Her lungs burn after a few seconds; even though Gale had left the horrible stench of death remained and was clogging her nose and mouth.

Jekin stops and turns to One. "One, meet me at the top of the crater!" Jekin goes backwards and towards the maw of the volcano. "Lara lead the rest outside, we'll buy you all time."
His sister nods and stops at the passage. "Everyone haul ass, we don't have time for **** ups!" |

"Okay." One does as Jekin tells him to and makes his way to the top of the crater

Leon starts darting down the mountain try to dodge the earth as it starts to uprise and leak of magma

Jekin holds out his hands toward the rising magma and looks at One. "If we use ice magic we can attempt to cool the magma. It'll be futile, but we might be able to buy our friends time." Jekin sends a beam of ice down into the magma, hoping his plan would work.

"Damn damn damn!" It had been a while since Fury last had to fly. Part of him hoped he hadn't forgotten how. He broke into a sprint, hopped onto a large piece of debris, then onto the roof of a house, and jumped into the air and flew towards the entrance they came through. Something told him Gale may have been waiting outside the caldera.
In all the chaos, Fury One took the oppurtunity to simply vanish from his perch into thin air. Outside, a storm had begun to build up in the west, forming a wall of dark gray that blocked out the sun and crowned itself with a white thunderhead. Rain was rare in the wastelands surrounding Obersin, but no doubt it was stirred up by an angry Earth herself. Lightning begin to stab into the wide desert that surrounded the volcano, and the distant sound of thunder had begun to roll through the air. Fury One appeared near Gale in midair, backdropped by the storm. His arms were crossed and his face held its usual piercing stare. |

Ayn runs as fast as her legs will take her, her entire chest and throat burning. She glances to her side just in time to see the last standing wall of a building crumble at the ground and fall right down on top of her.
Luckily, she had managed to send a blast of energy at the wall, boring a hole right through it above her. The wall falls flat as she slips through the hole and continues running. |

Nods to Jekin and pulls out his Staff, sending a second beam of ice down to the chamber. "If this doesn't work, we're done for!"

Gale seems suprised by Fury One's apperance, and then annoyed. "Do you really think you stand a chance, Kyushin?"
__ Jekin nods. "True enough, but they still might get away." He continues to force ice into the magma, and slows the magma, if only slightly. |

"Save it, Abbis. I'm not here to put you down yet. Still, my patience with you is growing thin." The first sprinkles of rain started to drop over the volcano, and a bolt of lightning flashes overhead.

Gale flicks his hair back. "Then why are you here, wasting my time?"
__ After much effort, Lara makes it out of the volcano and into the wasteland. However, she isn't safe yet and continues running. Hoping her comrades will make it. |

Ayn isn't too far behind, and appears out of the volcano moments later. She runs as far as she thinks she needs to, then collapses, retching.

Lara looks at Ayn and flies over to her. "This isn't the time to collapse! What's wrong?"
____ Jekin sees the rising lava. "No more time, we have to leave!" Jekin flies away from the volcano. |

She looks up at Lara, then forces herself to her feet, a wild look in her eyes. "You didn't smell it?!" She wipes sweat from her brow shakily. "It was death.. Everywhere.. It was coming from him.."
